Our work lives at the intersection of memory, rhythm, and ritual.
It began as me trying to make sense of what I was taught about success, productivity, identity, and what “normal” was supposed to look like.
Some of it worked.
Some of it didn’t.
What didn’t fit, I couldn’t ignore.
So I started documenting the friction.
Studying patterns.
Reframing inherited logic.
Testing new structures in real time.
What started as survival became philosophy.
Philosophy became practice.
Practice became a studio.
That studio became what you now see:
The Melanated Creative.
Few are taught to study their own design.
Even fewer are taught how to consciously calibrate the frequency they build from.
That’s the work here.
I design frameworks, tools, and experiences that help you refine the signal you already carry, so your output, your decisions, and your direction feel coherent.
Aligned.
Right now, that work shows up through instruments like:
Upside Down Normal
A reframing manual for creatives done inheriting broken logic.
The Creative Frequency Deck
A daily practice for clarity and calibration.
My Creative Frequency
Immersive audio experiences designed for deliberate reflection.
Melanated speaks not just to pigment, but to presence.
To ancestry. To encoded knowledge in the body.
Creative is not a title; it’s a function.
A way of being in relationship with the world through making, choosing, and reimagining.
You probably already know there’s something deeper guiding how you create.
You feel when something is off, even if you can’t immediately explain why.
You care about longevity more than noise.
Coherence more than clout.
Substance more than speed.
You don’t need motivation.
You need refinement.
I’m here to help you study your design, understand your frequency, and build from a place that feels structurally true to you.

A reframing manual for those done inheriting broken logic.

A daily practice in signal, clarity, and alignment.

Immersive audio experiences for deliberate reflection.
This platform began as a survival mechanism, a way to process, name, and reroute everything I was taught to ignore.
It became a philosophy. Then a studio. Then a signal that called others in.
If you’re here, it’s not random.
You were already participating.
This space is simply here to remind you.
